About the Teacher:
Val has been teaching since 1980. She founded the first commercial yoga studio in Calgary and the Yoga Studio College (1996). She has trained over 1100 teachers who are now spread out across Canada. Val is a mentor and coach encouraging practitioners to practice unwaveringly, find purpose in your niche and teach at every opportunity. Personally taught and certified by BKS Iyengar, Val draws extensively from his curriculum when teaching others. She teaches how to successfully identify and meet students’ needs in the areas of chronic ailments and mental health. She uses yoga philosophy and transpersonal psychology to help others unlock their highest potential.
