Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8-week course that uses intensive training in mindfulness meditation to teach people how to live healthy lives.
The last 2 decades of research have consistently shown that MBSR participants had:
- Dramatic reduction in anxiety and depression
- Dramatic reduction in pain levels
- Increased ability to cope with chronic pain
- Developed effective abilities to cope and manage both long and short term stress
- Increased self compassion
- Increased ability to understand and change habits
- Increased ability to focus
- Increased stress hardiness and resiliency
You will learn the strategies and techniques that has made this area of health and wellness so exciting. These practices are based on some of the best techniques developed from the Wisdom Traditions & also in the field of Neuropsychology, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, Cognitive Therapy, and Self Compassion.
Course Includes:
- A Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Manual
- Guided meditation
- Weekly handouts (All will be available to to you electronically, details at the first class)
- Homework practice
