Overview of Teacher Resources
YAA Equivalency Certification
The YAA offers individualized assessment for teachers who have already completed a 200-Hour or 500-Hour Teacher Training Program through other sources, worldwide. Experienced teachers may also qualify for Advanced Training Levels.
Recertification
All YAA Certified Teachers meet professional upgrading standards and maintain regular attendance in both classes/workshops and teaching hours to meet Recertification requirements, every three years. Permanent Certification is available after 20 years of YAA Certification.
Mentorship
YAA Senior Teachers are eligible to mentor students through the YAA Teacher Training Program and continue to mentor teachers through Advanced Training Levels. Get more information on finding and becoming a YAA mentor.
Group Insurance Program
YAA Certified Teachers may obtain discount insurance rates under the umbrella of the YAA's insurance policy. Full Members enrolled in the YAA Equivalency Certification Track may also be eligible.
