Namaste.
The YAA aims to bring the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits of yoga to all Albertans, regardless of circumstance, by providing equitable access to safe, high-quality classes and training, and support for local teachers. A registered charity and unique as Canada’s only nonprofit umbrella yoga organization, the YAA is an inclusive, caring, and cooperative community that welcomes students and teachers from diverse backgrounds, styles and lineages.

The Good We Do Together
YAA’s outreach programs bring the healing benefits of yoga where they’re needed most, bringing free online events to poverty-stricken and marginalized communities, indigenous schools, prisons, and the general public. Members’ support makes it possible — learn more and become part of the solution.
Training Programs & Teacher Certification
The YAA offers a supportive mentorship-based hatha yoga teacher training & certification with Advanced Training Levels (500-, 750- & 1,000-Hour Levels). All flexible, pay-as-you go & customized to your needs. Credit for previous trainings with qualified teachers worldwide. See what makes us different!
Visit the YAA Props Store
Shop online or in-person for a wide variety of high-quality yoga props, mats, accessories, books, and more. Register for YAA-sponsored workshops and classes here, too. Sales help ensure the continuation of the YAA and our outreach programs. Your support is greatly appreciated!
