Michelle Dionne
Michelle is a senior yoga and meditation instructor, as well as a mental health and chronic illness advocate. She is also a mother of two adult children and a sweet rescue dog named Yogi. Due to multiple chronic illnesses and ongoing treatments, she has not been able to do everything she once could nor what she would like to do.
Being the positive person that she is, instead of focusing on what she can’t do, Michelle turned her attention towards her other passions: painting, reading, writing, editing, proofreading and being a lifelong learner. Learning and relearning the importance of pacing seems to be a continuous lesson.
She used the downtime that the pandemic provided to take many courses resulting in becoming a Professional Editor, a certified Grief Recovery Method Facilitator and a trained facilitator in the Better Choices, Better Health program offered through AHS. Michelle is also learning more about somatic and other trauma informed practices to better serve her community.
Navigating chronic illnesses, relationships and life is a constant and ever changing experience. It is Michelle’s hope that through her writings and teachings, she can offer others going through similar experiences hope, guidance and support.
