Yoga Outreach

Donations Gratefully Accepted

The Yoga Association of Alberta has an active Outreach Program that provides yoga programming in under-served and marginalized communities, educates the public on the benefits of yoga, and supports and encourages the inclusion of yoga and mindfulness in schools.

Examples of YAA Outreach Initiatives include the following: Edmonton Remand Centre, the Candora Society (Low-Income residents), ICWA (Newcomers), At Risk Youth Project (Anti-Bullying Project); Yoga in Schools; WEAC (Emergency Shelter for Women), Women’s Health Group; MIRA Society, Adults with Down Syndrome; Oliver Primary Care Centre, Strengthening Our Spirit Program, Canadian Mental Health, Recovery Acres, etc.

Donations to our Outreach Program are needed and greatly appreciated.  All donations over $20 are eligible for an income tax receipt.  As well, gently used blocks, mats, straps, and books are welcomed.

If you are a non-profit looking to partner with the YAA, a volunteer who would like to offer the gift of your time, or if you would like more information on the Yoga Outreach Program, please contact the YAA office.
