Yoga for Pregnancy, Labour & Delivery – The ultimate rite of passage

The journey through labour and birth is a powerful and intense life changing event. It is the ultimate rite of passage that ushers women and pregnant people into parenthood. When birthing people are supported and empowered through this rite of passage they often experience a smoother transition into parenthood.
In this module, students are invited to explore the amazing and at times miraculous event that is labour and birth. Students will gain the knowledge and understanding needed to help pregnant people, and their partner or family members prepare for and navigate the rite of passage of labour and birth. Participants in this training will learn:
Any person wanting to dive deeper into prenatal knowledge while learning the skills to teach prenatal and postnatal yoga, as well as those who want to learn how to safely guide expectant moms in their regular yoga classes are invited to take this training series. Yoga teachers, Midwives, doulas, childbirth educators, expectant mothers, health & wellness practitioners, therapists, doctors & nurses also welcome!
Weekend 1: Yoga for Pregnancy – Empowered, embodied transformation
Weekend 2: Yoga for Pregnancy, Labour & Delivery – The ultimate rite of passage
Weekend 3: Postnatal Yoga – Supporting the mother’s journey
If taking all three modules for 85 hour certification, additional class observation & practicum hours are required and can be completed before, during or after the program. Please note: All participants will receive a certificate of completion when all course requirements are met, but to become fully certified through the Yoga alliance, you must also complete or have completed a full 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program.
Led by Jennifer Janvier, and various guest teachers, this prenatal training will create a deeper understanding into the care and safety required when teaching expectant mothers.
