YAA Teachers Showcase Series – Teachers Wanted
We are currently filling spots for YAA Certified Teachers to lead two Zoom classes.Â
This is a paid position with details as follows:
- Classes taught via the YAA’s Zoom Account. You will need to provide the space and the equipment required to teach via Zoom.  (Very little is required. Contact me if you have questions.)
- You should have some experience and comfort teaching on Zoom.  (Free member workshop available here if you’re willing to learn!)  We do have tech support available for you.
- Compensation would be $60 per class ($70 per class for YAA Senior or Intermediate Teachers), which includes any GST.
- Weeknight of your choice – 1 hour classes (8-9pm) spaced two weeks apart (1st & 3rd week of the month). Â Daytime slots may also be considered.
- Teach any style you want, but keep it safe for teaching virtually and accessible to a variety of participants (i.e. no extreme poses, headstands, etc.).
- The class will be recorded and available to full members in our Video Library.  The recordings will become property of the YAA and may be used for advertising or other purposes. A printed disclaimer will be shown at the start of class.
- We will require a signed contract agreeing to these stipulations, with a copy of your $2M liability insurance. (If you are not insured with the YAA’s group insurance program you’ll need to ensure coverage for online teaching and have the YAA added as an additional insured (usually free and easy to do).
- At least a month before the class date we will need a photo (action photos preferred), a photo release, a one-paragraph bio, a short description of the planned class, and a list of props needed. Classes will be advertised on our website, through emails and on social media.

These classes have been very well received and are an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills to the community.  YAA members get the chance to try out different styles and teachers to find teachers in their community or online.
